'W' is a truly global product benchmarked against the world's best and manufactured to a high specification Electric motors are the driving force behind all modern industry and hence consume vast amounts of energy - around 50% of the electricity generated by power stations is consumed by electric motors. Brook Crompton's standard motor range, called 'W', is up to 3% more efficient than other standard motors, resulting in a lower demand for energy and, therefore, cost savings for users. Variable speed motors Our Variable Speed 'W' (integrated motor and inverter), combines an efficient, highly adaptable 'W' motor with a purpose designed frequency inverter. This combination together with the innovative design which incorporates the inverter into the terminal box, results in a very compact, efficient and reliable variable speed motor. It is simple to install and fits in the same space as a conventional motor, therefore can be retrofitted to an existing piece of equipment.
