PERM ENGINE COMPANY was established in 1997 as a subsidiary of PERM MOTORS Company inheriting the gas turbine production facility and the rich traditions of the largest company of the West Ural. The history of "Perm Motors" JSC, the founder of Perm motor constructors, begins in June1, 1934, when at the plant being constructed there was the first M-25 "star"-type engine tested. Four years later the Plant No 19 as it was named at that time has already become the major manufacturer of aircraft engines. During the World War II the Plant exceeded its designed capacity by 12 times and produced more than 32 (thirty two) thousand motors. Military aircrafts including famous La-5, Su-2 and Tu-2 were equipped with the produced engines. In 50-s after transmission from piston to jet engines the Plant has consolidated its positions and become a regular partner and supplier of products for the world-famous companies of Tupolev, Ilyushin, Mikoyan, Mil, Myasishev. Perm Engine Company is the only company in Russia producing the 4th generation PS-90A engine which successfully competes with the best engines in this class and in particular with PW2000 (Pratt & Whitney, USA) and RB211 (Rolls-Royce, UK). Industrial gas turbines are the rapidly developing direction of the Company's activities. Perm industrial gas turbines inherited the best world-class technical and environmental characteristics, the on-condition maintenance system. They require little stuff and premises - all these result in high operational efficiency at minimum life cycle cost. At present Perm Engine Company has been producing more than 10 types of gas turbines ranging from 2.5 up to 25 megawatt (MW), which are used to drive gas pumping package compressors and gas turbine power plant generators. Perm Engine Company is set to fully satisfy the Customers' requirements with a well-established Customer Support Service: full maintenance of the PS-90A engines at a fixed rate per one burning hour; maintenance of gas turbines with guaranteed operational efficiency throughout the entire life cycle; routine inspection and diagnostics, prediction of technical condition and elimination of defects and failures; overhaul and repairs.
