History and introduction Subject to the main decision of National Iranian Gas Compay, (N.I.G.C.) in 1985 for changing the material of the gas networks (pipe and fittings) from steel to Polyethylene Electrofusion systems, Ghatran Saveh Co., affiliated to the Melli Gas Personnel Cooperative Company (M.P.C.C.) , launced as the first producer of the locally manufacture electrofusion polyethylene fittings used in the Iran gas networks. Following preliminary set up procedures and conduction of test runs, Ghatran Saveh launched it’s activities in 2000 under the license of France’s INNOGE P.E. Industries, using standard advanced equipments, as well as fully modernized quality control laboratories to ensure international standard production. In addition to supplying high-demand fittings for the national gas network, the company has produced various items previously manufactured abroad in order to achieve self sufficiency while providing job opportunities. By the experience that the company gained right now has the ability to increase both quality and quantity of it’s products by implementation of the development plans, therefore, presently Ghatran Saveh co. has the ability to produce 18 items of the most used E.F Fittings of the gas networks. Productions Productions of Ghatran Saveh Co., Polyethelen Electrofusion Fittings, which are used in both gas (up to 10 Bar pressure) and water (up to 16 Bar pressure) networks, are as followings: 1- Couplers sizes 25, 63, 90, 110 and 125 mm uses for connecting the pipes. 2- Electrofusion Caps sizes 25, 63, 90, 110 and 125 mm for using in the end of network lines. 3- Tapping Tees sizes 63*25 , 90*25, 110*25 , 125*25 and 160*25 mm uses to get branches from networks. 4- Different kinds of Electrofusion Equal Tees and Elbows uses for the completion of networks.
